Internships and Externships

An important focus of VERG is our commitment to the training of young veterinarians. Our internship program typically is responsible for the clinical education of a select group of highly motivated, hard working veterinarians who spend one year rotating through the different specialty services of our hospital. Once graduating from our program, our interns are well prepared for the rigorous veterinary residency programs throughout the country or the challenges of high quality, general veterinary practice. Their training centers around both assisting in the clinical management of patients with our full-time staff of specialists as well as participating in the numerous lectures provided both by house staff and outside lecturers throughout the year.
